Every single time.
It didn't take long to figure out why. A $29.99 playmat with $10-17 in shipping tacked on at checkout is a gut punch. Even if the product is worth it, that surprise cost breaks the trust and kills the sale. We felt it too when we looked at it from a customer's perspective.
That's not the experience we want to deliver.

We also adjusted our pricing to make this sustainable long term. Playmats are now $36.99, which reflects the true delivered cost without the checkout surprise. Here's the honest math: you're still saving a few dollars compared to the old price plus shipping. The difference is you know exactly what you're paying upfront, and there's no sticker shock at checkout.
Why It Matters
SoupUhMan TCG is built on premium art and a premium experience. Sticker shock at checkout is the opposite of that. Free shipping is the standard customers expect, and it's the standard we should be holding ourselves to.
This is one of those early decisions that sets the tone for everything that comes after. We'd rather eat a few dollars per order now and build a customer base that trusts us than squeeze margin and lose people at the finish line.
